Simulating granular materials in LS-DYNA using Discrete Element Spheres (DES)
April 8th: 10:00 - 11:00
Granular materials, such as sand or gravel, can be simulated in LS-DYNA using Discrete Element Spheres (DES). Such simulations make
it possible to study e.g. the flow of a granular material in a transport application or wear induced by a granular material on the surrounding structure.
In this webinar, we will demonstrate how to set up DES simulations in LS-DYNA, including particle generation, important keywords, and post processing.
